Giveaway: Nightfall by Ellen Connor
June 10, 2011 at 5:00 am 16 comments
Earlier this week, I featured Nightfall as one of my anticipated books on my June 2011 Releases post. I’d been looking forward to this book for quite a while. “Ellen Connor” is actually the writing team of Carrie Lofty and Ann Aguirre. And, with a team like that, I had pretty high expectations.
Here’s the description of Nightfall:
Their instincts will save them.

I read Nightfall earlier this week, and I can tell you, it lived up to all those high expectations. You don’t want to miss this book!
Co-author Ann Aguirre has generously offered a book to be given away a a lucky commenter.
So, in the comments below, tell me: when technology dies and magic is in its ascendency, what 3 things would you make sure you had with you in your bunker? (Remember, technology is d-e-a-d. No computers, phones, ereaders, etc)
Contest will close on June 12, 2011, Monday, 11:59pm PST. I will post the randomly selected winner on Tuesday, June 13.
Entry filed under: Contest/Giveaway. Tags: Ann Aguirre, Carrie Lofty, Dark Age Dawning series, Ellen Connor, Nightfall.

I can’t wait to read “Nightfall!” Assuming I had the basics covered, I’d bring my library of actual paperbacks – a library is one thing, right?
, a lifetime supply of chapstick, and chocolate! Thanks for the giveaway.

This sounds like a great book! Let’s three… 3 things. that’s tough. 1-a good blade, 2-a badass (and hottie) sidekick, and 3-a good pillow (I get grumpy without sleep).

Hmm, supposing the basics are taken care of I would bring: my library of dead tree books( yes, I agree that a library is one thing LOL), an instrument of some kind, and knitting and crochet supplies.

Obviously, a mixed library of favorite and unread print books is top of my list also.

My sister and I have actually made a list of things that we would want in a bunker if something happened but it’s really hard to pick the top three. Well I would definitely want to have a large supply of books. I would also want to have large supply of bottled water and the last thing would probably be of course a large quantity of non-perishable food.

If this is international then please include me.
I’d want:
1 – some company
2 – a good, sharp knife

1. I’d pack J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter Novel series.
You have to have literary genius with you at the end of the line.
2. A large (Mondo) bottle of Jack Daniels.
Gotta have the good stuff for stress relief & medicinal purposes.
3. My Siamese cat, Kadabra.
She’s large enough to be a watch dog, and she’s a great companion.

Oh, I really want to read this one..
Lemme see, for 3 things that I want to bring at my bunker :
1. A package of book, as many as I can grab, without books I’ll boring to death
2. A package of instant noodles, all variants. Because noodles is my favorite food, and I’ll boring to death if I’m not eat it (at last I can make hot water with magic, or make a fireplace
)
3. Pillow, I can’t sleep without pillow
(if I can add, a hunky man to become my companion, always nice
)
